The article explains Pulse’s status and availability when school is not in session.
During term breaks
During school holidays or term breaks, most schools temporarily halt Student Pulse. However, some schools opt to keep Pulse active to continue supporting their participants throughout the break.
When schools pause Pulse during term breaks:
- Participants won’t be able to sign in or check in.
- Check-in notifications are paused until the next term starts.
- Participants can still access the external help or crisis intervention providers available in their region.
Note
Schools can manually pause Pulse at any time or set Pulse to auto-pause during term breaks.
End of the school year
At the end of the school year, all participants are locked out of Pulse. Instead of the sign-in page, they will see the “Pulse is taking a break” screen with links to the support services available in their region.
