Troubleshooting Pulse Email Issues

Your Pulse Coordinator can see undelivered emails by going to Pulse Dashboard > Settings > Undelivered Emails. In this section, you can update any incorrect emails imported into Pulse and remove any participants who are no longer attending the school.

Ensure the student or staff member is enrolled in Pulse with the correct email address. If any detail needs to be fixed, you must update it in Student Pulse. You should also check that the recipient can receive non-Pulse emails.

If their address is correct, but they still don’t receive emails, check your school’s spam filter to see whether Pulse emails are blocked or quarantined.

If your mail server rejects our emails, you can try allowing Pulse’s domains and IP addresses below to see if it resolves the issue. If you cannot access your school’s firewall or spam filter, please get in touch with your IT Administrator.

Pulse Domains to Allow

An Allow listing is a cybersecurity strategy used by Network Administrators to protect computers and networks from potential threats and unwanted material available locally or across the internet. It is a list of approved URLs, mail servers, applications, and others (IP Addresses, Domain names) that the secured network user can access.

To ensure Pulse functionality and to receive emails from Pulse, your IT Administrator must authorise access to the following domains and IP addresses. These IP addresses, email addresses, and domains are exclusive to Pulse. 

Australia, New Zealand and Asia

Pulse sends emails from the following IP addresses:

  • 69.169.234.239
  • 69.169.234.240

Pulse sends emails from the following email addresses:

UK, Europe, and the Middle East

Pulse sends emails from the following IP addresses:

  • 23.249.219.155
  • 23.249.219.156

Pulse sends emails from pulse-notifications@smoothwall.cloud

Americas

Pulse sends emails from the following IP addresses:

  • 54.240.121.148
  • 54.240.121.149

Pulse sends emails from the following email addresses:
