Pulse - Updated pause Pulse feature (March 2026)
Release date: 26 March 2026
We’ve updated Pulse’s Pause functionality to help you manage check-ins and notifications during term breaks. Your school can manually pause Pulse any time or set Pulse to automatically pause.

- Staff with wellbeing oversight roles can still access their Pulse dashboard.
- Pulse pauses notifications and reminders to check in until the next term starts or until you reactivate Pulse.
- Staff members won’t receive requests for help. To ensure students and staff are still supported, help resources and providers are available on the Pulse landing page.
- You can nominate the help providers your participants can seek support from while Pulse is paused. Contact your Success Manager for more information.
Pulse - New custom date selection feature (February 2026)
Release date: 3 February 2026
Pulse’s new Custom Date Selection feature helps Pulse Directors, Stewards and Teachers set custom time periods to:
- Identify trends in the student Wellbeing, Experience, and Gratitude dashboards.
- Measure the impact of interventions and better understand their students' progress over a certain date range.
When setting a custom date, the date picker snaps to the start and end of the week. Check-in data are from the current school year only and don't include data from previous years.
Export reports from custom date range
The new Date Selection functionality also applies to the reports and data that can be exported from Pulse. Pulse Directors can export Summary Reports and Wellbeing and Experience data from a custom date range the current year to date.

To protect sensitive data in Student and Staff Pulse dashboards, users are automatically logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Reflection Questions: Digging Deeper and Insights
We’re introducing two new questions in the student check-ins, designed to help students reflect more deeply on their wellbeing.
After answering the wellbeing question, ‘How are you feeling today?’, students will be asked to name the emotion they feel. Then at the end of the check-in, Pulse will ask what makes them happy, relaxed, or excited. They can select an answer from the predetermined responses provided.
